Site Description

Level Crossing. There was a station with both Up and Down platforms on the Rosslare side of the crossing until 1963. That on the Up side, where there is a derelict waiting shelter, has been removed. There was a block post here until 1978. The disused signal cabin and the substantial station building are on the Down platform. The station building contained a toilet for the Malcomson family, who were a prominent local Quaker business family and shareholders in the railway. The former goods area is behind the Down platform at the Rosslare end of the station. The goods store, loading bank and site of a siding remain.
